Welcome to Gothic Tea House, a new project focusing on etiquette, style and tea. Three subjects that I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about over the years. On this site, you can expect our content to be driven by those three subjects.
Why those three subjects?
My upbringing is a unique one, one in which I had the opportunity to see two very different ways of life, and in doing so, have deduced my own concept of what each of the three subjects entail.
Etiquette has evolved over the years. With technology playing a big part in our lives, I felt it was important to trace our habits of social etiquette back, and see how we can combine more traditional practices within the modern social climate.
Style has surprisingly been more prevalent in my life than I realized growing up. I wasn't the most stylistically inclined individual when I was younger, but as I grew up I found the appreciation for the art. Though I have embraced the darker side of things, I can still appreciate when a great outfit is put together. Here, I hope to focus on Gothic Style and how elegant it can look with a keen eye, and a willingness to explore.
Tea has always been a huge part in my life. Traditionally because of my Chinese background, but additionally due to my Mexican heritage as well. I discovered a profound taste for tea in my late teenage years, after overloading on coffee due to external influences and realizing that I do not enjoy the taste of coffee. Traveling to different places around the world and within my country has shown me the wide variety of tea, and I look to explore that openly with all of you.
I am looking forward to sharing this experience with you all. We will develop together in one way or another and I hope to learn, not only from the experiences ahead, but from you all you choose to follow along.
