*UPDATE* Good launch to the new site where I completely deleted the first paragraph to this blog post on accident and I looked like an illiterate fool haha.

With the new year brings a time to reflect. I like to think back on how often walking has helped me with my mental state. When I lived out in Los Angeles, there was a time where my car was not operational, so I decided to walk everywhere and I do mean everywhere. A few people have heard the story, but I made a very long walk from Glendale, CA to Disneyland which is in Anaheim, CA. Why would I do something crazy like that? Well, simply it was because a good friend of mine wanted to attend an event and I did everything in my power to do so. During the walk I had a lot of time to reflect on my actions at the time. I was still in my early twenties and really trying to discover myself.

Taking a walk does so much for our body and mind. As an individual who has suffered from depression for the majority of my life, I can't tell you a time in which I regret going for a walk.

That being said, no matter where you're located, something that is always beneficial for you, is to take a walk. Perhaps the weather will not permit you to walk outside, thankfully there are malls, recreational centers and other indoor locations that are great places for you to take a stroll, Touch a tree, feel the air, but truthfully get your body moving. You'll be thanking yourself for it.

Have a great weekend.
