If you could create anything, without having to worry about money, what would you create? If you had unlimited time in the day, how would you use it?
Ideally I would love to continue to create more content on a more regular basis, but finding the time to create has been difficult over the last month. This is simply a challenge for myself, to prove to myself that it’s a mental hurdle, and not an external force keeping me from doing it.
With that being said, there are, at times external forces that keep you from making progress.
I tend to find myself with little time in the day, and because of that I try to keep negative thoughts and variables out of my life, but life is full of irony, and likes to test my patience. Sometimes life will continue to throw negativity in your direction, but it’s up to you to determine if it’s going to ruin your day.
I’m guilty of allowing it to ruin not only my evening, but causing even more problems in relationships. Just like everything in life, there is a learning curve to compartmentalizating your feelings. Many times the solution is as plane as simply saying nothing at all, but we as humans love to react, and that can cause rifts between yourself and those around you.
I recently made a big change in my career, and in doing so, my schedule has changed which has allowed me to enjoy my many creative hobbies. At the heart of my creativity is my undying love for music. I have been making the effort to practice my vocal scales on my long commute to work, and my technical skills on my guitar. It has helped with not only redirecting the negativity that has been looming over me, but my anxiety which has been at an all time high.
If I had the time, I think I would spend all of my time creating things to make people happy. Whether that is music, videos, or even writing, I find myself to be the happiest when I know I’m making a positive impact on someone.
Todays blog post is more of a therapeutic exercise but I hope this resonates with a few of you and gives a little bit of insight to the lack of content over the last month.
There will be new stuff in the near future, but until then remember to be kind and treat each other well.
